EU action plan against the COVID 19 pandemic
In this period, the European Commission is committed to providing a common action plan against Corona Virus COVID-19

In this framework, DG RTD in collaboration with many other services (including DG CONNECT) is setting up an action plan that levers on the proposal that the EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratory) will be present soon to set up a sharing platform to host or link different types of data (genomic, epidemiologic, clinical high-dimensional data).
The aim is to foster high collaboration and data sharing to benefit all research teams that are focusing on the Corona virus.
Moreover, the OpenAIRE project is setting up a dedicated section where to open scientific articles and data relevant (that they are currently harvesting) for scientists researching on COVID-19.
Also high level computational facilities will be involved through one of the dedicated COVID-19 call projects.
This action, nevertheless, will undoubtedly need additional support from existing projects
DG RTD would like to gather projects that can contribute to the COVID-19 fight through the EMBL platform
Could you support this international endeavor and in what way you could contribute to the establishment, enrichment and wide use of open platform of heterogeneous medical data on Corona Virus.

I kindly ask all MIPRO members and paper authors to respond by mail  (skala@mipro.hr) if anybody  can contribute with AI against the COVID 19.

DataFlow SuperComputing

MIPRO 2019 - workshop by Veljko Milutinović

This workshop sheds light on the essence of the dataflow paradigm and teaches the related programming model, so after attending it, the participants would be able to generate production level code for their applications that need acceleration and/or lower power consumption, using the current Maxeler DataFlow Engines, as well as the future Intel's ones. For general purpose code, this paradigm provides acceleration that could reach 20x or even 200x, while the power consumption gets 20x smaller; at the same time, physical size of the equipment gets considerably smaller, and conditions get generated for computing of a considerably higher precision.
