  • Strategic Planning in Higher Education and Science
Blaženka Divjak, Minister (Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia)
This plenary lecture is a part of the presentation of project HigherDecision’s results. Project Development of a Methodological Framework for Strategic Decision-making in Higher Education – a Case of Open Learning and Distance Learning (ODL) Implementation – HigherDecision is financed by Croatian Science Foundation and lead by prof. B. Divjak, PhD. The project, whose implementation began at Faculty of organization and informatics, University of Zagreb in 2015 and ends in 2019, deals with the analysis of strategic decisionmaking in higher education (HE). Higher education’s key mission is to develop human potential with beneficial effects for social and economic development. HE as a system, along with HE institutions, must be innovative and strategically managed to be able to fulfill their mission. Therefore, the decision-making accompanied by an evaluation of its implementation in higher education is an issue of the highest priority.
