World Engineering Day (WED) will be celebrated on March 4, 2021, and the title of this year's celebration is "Engineering for a Healthy Planet - Celebrating the UNESCO Engineering Report". The beginning of the program will be dedicated to great ideas for achieving the goals of sustainable development, and at 2 pm a discussion on teaching for engineering students will begin, mainly with an emphasis on the circumstances of the pandemic, but also the planned digitalization. As part of the celebration, the publication "UNESCO Report: Engineering for Sustainable Development Goals" will be presented, which includes the chapter "Engineering Innovations to Combat COVID - 19 and improve human health" whose co-authors are Prof. Shankar Krishnan and Prof. Ratko Magjarevic, Ph.D. from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing Zagreb. The celebration of WED was initiated by the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) two years ago, and was first celebrated in 2020.
