The global online conference ICT-20 @ COVID-19 ended with great success

The global online conference ICT-20 @ COVID-19 has ended successfully with about three hundred registered participants from 20 countries on 3 continents. 24 lecturers, from India, Italy and Croatia, had the opportunity to give their contribution and testimony on initiatives and perspectives in the fight and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their presentations covered three segments: society, health and education, some of the most endangered areas of life affected by the pandemic. Within these thematic areas, through the presented lectures, we wanted to give an overview of the situation before, during and after the pandemic, with consideration of the necessary changes in the future.

The conference was held under the patronage of two Croatian Ministries, the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Science and Education, then the University of Zagreb, Rudjer Boskovic Institute, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Faculty of Organization and Informatics and
Croatian Academy of Technical Sciences. The visibility and presence of the government in the problem of COVID-19 disease indicated the importance and necessity of holding such an event. The conference was co-organized and financially supported by Končar and Storm Computers, longtime group members and associates of the MIPRO Society.

The goal of the conference was exchanging information, innovative ideas and best practices between countries on the use of ICT, digital technologies and platforms, and social media and multidisciplinary technologies during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim was also to make public what the institutions are doing regarding the pandemic and the preparedness of the scientific community (Croatian and beyond) to deal with various aspects of crisis and their contribution to mitigating its consequences.

The entire conference has been recorded and the video will be available soon. More information about the lecturers and lectures can be found in the program located on our web portal.
