Preparations for the 42nd International ICT Convention MIPRO 2019 are underway. There are only several months left over before the start of the convention.

MIPRO 2019 is technically co-sponsored by IEEE and EAI. As usual, MIPRO invites authors to submit their papers for one of the 12 traditional conferences. Besides them, this year's novelty are 2 new international conferences - Smart, Sustainable and Resilient Cities and Infrastructures /SSRCI and COnference on COmposability, COmprehensibility and COrrectness of Working Software /4COWS.

In addition to the conferences, into the MIPRO 2019 preliminary program 3 worhshops, 4 panels, 3 tutorials along with an exhibition of electronic equipment and technical literature are included.

We are pleased to announce two plenary keynote speakers, world reknowned experts on artificial intelligence (with a special focus on security and marketing), who will give speaches at the plenary session during the formal opening on Wednesday, 22 May. One of them is Dr. Paul Timmers, visiting research fellow at the University of Oxford, UK  who will hold the speech entitled „Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity: Technology and Policy Perspectives“. „Artificial Intelligence in Marketing“ is the title of the speech of the second speaker, Prof. Luiz Moutinho, visiting professor at the University of Suffolk, Ipswich, UK.

Call for papers and events (i.e. First announcement) that includes the preliminary program of MIPRO 2019 is printed in 7,000 copies. While it has been distributed by a regular postal mail to 6,100 potential authors and attendees in Europe, prospective authors and participants from all over the world have received an electronic Call via e-mail.

Although the First announcement has been published, MIPRO is still open to all individuals and institutions interested to propose additional events that would enrich the MIPRO program.
